Background
Calcutt Matthews was started in 1999 by Nick Hume and Richard Phipps.
Nick Hume qualified as a chartered accountant and worked with Deloitte’s, one of the world's largest Accountancy firms. He also brought with him a history of looking after small and medium sized businesses and is one of the South East's leading Charities specialists.
Richard Phipps has a long history in general practice and has extensive experience in tax planning. Richard is a Chartered Tax Advisor and a member of the association of Tax Technicians.
Nick runs the Ashford Office and Richard runs the Rainham Office with a combined team of twelve professionals. The practice now looks after five hundred clients. We are particularly proud that in this time period no client has ever left the firm to go to another firm of accountants.
