I am a fellow of the ICAEW. My passion is to really help company owners achieve the growth they want from their business. I have therefore recently completed my second book on this subject. Our firm wins awards for this specialism and I speak at national events in this area.
My key skills are:
-Corporate tax planning
- Audit for corporate and charity clients with turnover up to £250 million
I run our Ashford office. I help clients reduce tax burdens and run Vision events and quarterly meetings with clients to help them achieve their business goals.
I’ve been married for 22 years and have 22 years with teenage sons, we love to travel and help in the community.
I began my accounting career in 2002 before joining Calcutt Matthews permanently in 2003 and I’m a qualified, licenced accountant with over 18 years’ experience. I have a broad and detailed knowledge of all UK taxes; particularly Personal and Corporation Tax, Capital Gains Tax, VAT, CIS, PAYE and general HMRC and Companies House liaison and administration. I’m particularly experienced at helping my clients to legally and legitimately arrange their affairs in the most tax efficient way possible, and at maintaining streamlined cloud accounting systems to help local business owners to make better business decisions.
I look after a broad portfolio of local, national and international businesses and individuals. I love developing relationships with my clients and I pride myself on giving all of my clients a great deal of care and attention.
I’m also responsible for our IT and Telecommunications infrastructure, and I provide assistance in a number of other aspects of our firm.
Having worked with Calcutt Matthews since 2003 I now live locally with my wife and our three young children. When we’re not volunteering together in the community we love camping, walking and cycling, and I have a particular passion for music and photography.
I joined Calcutt 7 years ago, trained as a Chartered Accountant, received my audit qualification and also now hold the Diploma in Charity Accounting (DChA). This helps me to further understand and assist our not for profit clients with the challenges they face in the ever changing charitable sector.
I manage our entire charitable and not for profit portfolio, assisting with accounts preparation, budgeting, forecasting as well as independent examinations and statutory audits. I also co-ordinate our corporate audit department, which serves to provide adaptable and forward thinking regulation and guidance, whilst maintaining a high level of client contact and assistance.
I live locally with my husband, and love to travel, run, ski, (preferably combining all 3 whenever possible!) as well as engaging in volunteer work in my local community.
I am VAT qualified with over eight years’ experience in VAT and tax planning, ensuring clients meet their compliance obligations with HMRC correctly.
I look after a portfolio of clients and have specialist knowledge in business, personal tax and tax credits.
I live in Ashford with my husband and two children and work at Calcutt Matthews two days per week.
A qualified AAT with 20 years’ experience
I run the payroll bureau for Calcutt Matthews. I oversee the work done on the payroll and liaise with clients. I am also involved in payroll training and lecturing on RTI for the firm.
I work remotely from Spain where I live with my husband and two boys. I don't mention the weather too much to my English colleagues!
I have been working at Calcutt Matthews for over 6 years and am AATQB qualified. I am also a certified Xero officer and am pursuing my full AAT qualification.
I look after a dedicated portfolio of clients, handling their accounts and tax compliance. I also have extensive experience in Company Secretarial, helping out on a company-wide basis.
I work part-time at Calcutt Matthews and am a part-time stay at home mum looking after my Son Frank.
With over 30 years’ experience in Financial Management in the not-for-profit and public sector, I currently enjoy my role here as Finance Manager and Company Secretary.
After completing a degree in Applied Accounting with Oxford Brookes I pursued an Accounting qualification whilst working as the Principal Financial Accountant at West Kent Social Care NHS Trust.
As a fellow of the ACCA I enjoy learning and regularly attend training events to keep abreast of current practise.
I look after the Finance Function within our practice, which includes oversite of Credit Control, Financial and Management Accounts Reporting, Cash Flow and Payroll. Since moving to a group structure our reporting requirements have increased. I have implemented the necessary changes to ensure we meet our key performance targets.
I live in Kent with my husband and two sons. If I am not out and about spending time with family and friends, I am often to be found in my garden.
